My dad took Gatlin and I to the zoo a few weeks ago. We were so excited with the anticipation of watching Gatlin in this new experience. Unfortunately, it didn't go quite as well as we anticipated. We first rode the zoo train which was, by far, the highlight of the trip for Gatlin. Then it was time to check out the animals. We saw the bears, which Gatlin enjoyed. Then on to the monkeys and that's about where the fun ended for him. The gibbons were extremely noisy (as usual) and Gatlin got scared and requested (not so politely) to go home. This request continued through most of the rest of the park with the exception of the elephant, petting zoo, and the prairie dogs. We ended with, what else but, another ride on the zoo train. Sigh. At least Dad and I had fun. I think, though, that we will skip the monkeys next time we go with Gatlin.

I love Hojo!!! Monkey is just the sweetest...what do we always say, "I could just get a cavity!"
Gatlin does NOT look like he's having fun on the train ride. Maybe he needs a little more adventure, speed, adrenaline! Roller coasters might be more his style. Or F-15s or something.
